This artwork pays homage to Human Traffic (1999), Justin Kerrigan’s cult classic film that captured the energy, chaos, and euphoria of Britain’s late 90s clubbing generation. Human Traffic followed five friends over one wild weekend in Cardiff, navigating the highs and lows of rave culture, ecstasy-fuelled nights, and the bonds of friendship forged on the dancefloor.
The film became a defining piece of UK club culture cinema, celebrated for its authenticity, gritty humour, and unfiltered portrayal of the underground rave scene. At its heart, Human Traffic is a love letter to nightlife — to the smoke-filled basements, the glow of lasers, the pounding beats, and the unforgettable feeling of unity on the dancefloor.
This Club Asylum flyer design reflects that raw, underground energy: neon typography, hazy smoke-machine fog, and ravers lost in the moment. A cigarette, a pint, and the immortal phrase “Nice one bruvva!” — symbols of a generation that lived for the weekend.
